Tim Powers is one of the best known steampunk authors of our time. Along with James Blaylock, the two of them invented the poet William Ashbless while they were still in college at Cal State Fullerton. He has written several novels and short story collections over the course of his career. Most recently his novel On Stranger Tides inspired the plot to the fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The novel was also the inspiration to The Secret of Monkey Island game from LucasArts. Tim can be found teaching as a Writer in Residence part time at the Orange County School of Arts. He has won the World Fantasy Award twice for his works Last Call and Declare. Tim is also a bit of an artist, who loves to sketch on whatever is on hand at the time.
Glenn Chadbourne first gained recognition for his work as an artist when he won an art contest for the Stephen King related, newsletter Castle Rock. Since then he has created book covers and illustrations for books and magazines like Subterranean Press, Cemetery Dance Publications, and Earthling Publications. He wrote and illustrated his two self published comic series, ChillVille and Farmer Fiend’s Horror Harvest. Glenn has since went on to contribute his works to some of the best names in horror.
Q: As a child were you always interested in art? Do you remember what the very first thing you learned to draw was?

Frank Welker is a legend in the world of voice acting. He has appeared in well over 93 films and countless TV shows. His second role on camera came in the film, The Trouble with Girls, in which he played a Rutgers alumni who befriends Elvis Presley. His most recent on film role was in The Informant where he plays the father of Matt Damon’s character. His first voice role came in 1969 as Fred Jones on the now culturally iconic Scooby Doo, Where Are You! He became the voices of both Fred and Scooby in 2000. In between all that he has voiced such characters as Nibbler from Futurama, several characters on the 1980′s animated series, the animated film, and in the film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and the soon to be released Transformers “Dark of the Moon.”
Wisconsin native Mike Huberty is likely best known for his work as a member of the band Sunspot, who had their song Go Pack! promoted heavily when the Green Bay Packers played and won the most recent Super Bowl. He is also the man behind the website, Paranormal Wisconsin and the Madison Ghost Walk by Capitol Square Ghost Walks. His fans can find him doing his own strange podcast as well. I recently caught up with him to find out more about his passion for all things..strange and paranormal.

Gene Brewer is best known for his work writing the K-Pax series,the first book of which was made into a film by Universal Studios in 2001. He studied DNA replication and cell division at several institutions including St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis before becoming an author. He is currently working on K-PAX 5 as well as other stories.
